About Bio Foods Product and impact after installing Orb’s rooftop solar
Bio Foods is a leading manufacturer of organic dairy products located in Central Kenya, Nairobi. Driven by eco-friendly practices, they constantly seek ways to reduce their environmental impact. To reduce the rising expenses of the factory bills, Bio Foods opted to switch to solar.
Bio Foods chose Orb Energy as the partner towards sustainability. To carry forward the project and align with Bio Foods objectives, Orb Energy visited the site and installed a 343 kWp grid-tied solar system for their factory.
The customized design of the solar system meets the factory’s energy demands and has substantially lowered the factory’s carbon footprint by 430 tonnes annually, aligning with sustainability goals while boosting their brand image. Post installation, Bio Foods have also been roughly saving $73000 USD annually.
